Privacy and Confidentiality

It is very important to Quality Service Skills that our student’s personal and sensitive information is collected, stored, managed and disposed of in a safe and secure manner.

You can read our Privacy & Confidentality Policy here for more information.

Unique Student Identifier

From January 1st 2015, all students undertaking Accredited Training in Australia are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI), consisting of 10 characters (numbers and letters, excluding zero).

Creating a USI will only take a few minutes and it is free. You only need to create a USI once and it will stay with you for life. After you create your USI, you then need to give it to each training provider you train with when you enrol.

As a Registered Training Organisation Quality Service Skills are unable to issue you with a Statement of Attainment or Certificate without a valid USI. Therefore, Quality Service Skills procedure for USI’s is to only take enrolments from students who can provide USI which is successfully validated by our Student Management System.  Please refer to our USI Procedure for further information or visit www.usi.gov.au

Nationally Recognised Training

Nationally Recognised Training is any programme of training leading to vocational qualifications (or individual units of competency) that are recognised across Australia. Only Registered Training Organisations can deliver Nationally Recognised Training. Quality Service Skills is a Registered Training Organisation and our details can be found on www.training.gov.au by selecting “National Register of VET” on the right hand side of the website and then:

Nationally Recognised Training is often referred to as Accredited Training.  Accredited Training is different to non-accredited training, in that you will be issued with either a:

  • Statement of Attainment, or
  • Certificate / Testamur

Upon successful completion. Both of these documents may have the Nationally Recognised Training logo on them.  The logo is easily identifiable and can only be used by Registered Training Organisations.

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process involving formal recognition of an individual’s skills and knowledge gained through previous studies, work and life experience.

Students are welcome to speak to Quality Service Skills regarding Recognition of Prior Learning. Please read our RPL & CT Procedure for further information.

The price for RPL starts at $ 200 per Unit of Competency, which includes:

  • All RPL Kits and paperwork
  • One face-to-face meeting to assess your Evidence Portfolio and complete a Q&A session
  • As many phone calls and/or email support as required (including after-hours support)

Additional Gap Training and/or support that may be required will be negotiated with the individual applicant and a Quote provided.  Click here for Application Kit.

Credit Transfer (CT) is the process that provides students with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for Units of Competency based on identified equivalence in content and learning outcomes.

Currently, Quality Service Skills only deliver single Units of Competency – we do not deliver full qualifications. As such, we are under no obligation to issue a Statement of Attainment for Units of Competency based solely on a Credit Transfer outcome.

If Quality Service Skills do in the future offer full qualification programs, we will offer Credit Transfer on individual (or multiple) Units of Competency. Please see our RPL & CT Procedure for further information.

There is no charge for Credit Transfer.

QuickaPay

Quality Service Skills utilises the QuickaPay system for payment plans.

The current maximum timeframe for QuickaPay is 6 fortnightly installments.

An invoice is created and sent to you from QuickaPay; and you can choose whether or not to pay a deposit; and the balance is taken from your account via direct debit over 6 fortnightly payments.

The invoice created by QuickaPay can be negotiated between yourself and QSS.

For example, if you enrol into the Diploma of Quality Auditing; and the price is $2500:

  • QSS can organise four invoices (one every three months)
  • For each invoice the amount would be $625.
  • You could pay a $ 25 deposit, and 6 x $100 fortnightly payments.
  • This would be repeated each quarter

Alternative amounts / arrangements are available – QSS will work with you to determine the payment plan that suits your needs.
